Meet Dr. Wetherington

Dr. Wetherington is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon trained and educated in the classical tradition. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Wetherington then spent the next seven years engaged in surgical training at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, where he completed the full residency training program in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Wetherington is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a former President of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Wetherington was born in Florida and has practiced medicine in Rome, Georgia since 1988. He has four children and is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. They enjoy physical fitness activities, cooking and being with family and friends.
